Who's Behind Steadfast

Run by one person. Answered by that same person.

Hi, I'm Aleksandr Kashubin. Before starting Steadfast, I spent over a year doing this work myself: trash pickup, hallway cleaning, mopping stairs, for buildings across Park Slope and Prospect Heights, often 80 hours a week. I started this company so building owners get someone who actually shows up, does the job right, and answers the phone. I run every job myself. It's never handed off to whoever's on shift that day.

The Rules, Plainly

Two DSNY laws. One service that covers both.

Since June 1, 2026, Brooklyn buildings with 1–9 units must use the official NYC Bin. It's not just about the bin. The sidewalk has to stay clear too, and both are enforced separately.

NYC Bin: Container & Timing Rule

Bins with secure lids may go out no earlier than 6:00 PM the evening before collection, and must come back in from the curb promptly after.

$50 / $100 / $200 for repeat violations

Sidewalk & Litter Rule (NYC Admin Code §16-118)

Owners must keep the sidewalk and roughly 18 inches into the street free of debris, regardless of where it came from, including collection spillage. DSNY inspects twice daily, 8–9 AM and 6–7 PM.

$100 / up to $250 for repeats within 12 months
